WhatsApp provides you the facility to Send Text Messages in Italic, Bold, Strikethrough, or Monospaced formats. These features are not visible directly as an option on WhatsApp. So now the question is how you can format your text/messages on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp allows you to format text inside your messages as shown below:
Here's how you can format text on WhatsApp:
Italic
To Italic, your message/text, place an underscore ( _ ) sign on both the sides of the text as shown below:
_YourText_
Bold
To bold, your message/text, place an asterisk ( * ) sign on both the sides of the text as shown below:
*YourText*
Strikethrough
To strikethrough, your message/text, place a tilde ( ~ ) sign on both the sides of the text as shown below:
~YourText~
Monospace
To monospace your message, place three backticks ( ` ) sign on both the sides of the text as shown below:
```YourText```
Bonus Tip
You can use a combination of these signs to make your text more interactive. Like so: _*YourText*_ to make your text Bold and Italic both at once.Alternatively, You can do this for either the entire message or just certain words or phrases. If these seem like too many steps to remember, then alternatively, both Android and iPhone users can tap and hold the text they're typing and select the 'More' option and choose among bold, italic, strikethrough, and monospace.
