Keyboard shortcuts for Power BI Desktop

While working, Keyboard shortcuts can be very helpful for moving around in the Power BI reports using a keyboard. In this article we are describing the shortcuts available in a Power BI report.

While using the Power BI Desktop, you can press Shift + ? to show the keyboard shortcuts, as shown in the following image:

FREQUENTLY USED SHORTCUTS


To do this action Press
Move focus between sections Ctrl+F6
Move focus forward in section Tab
Move focus backward in section Shift+Tab
Select or clear selection of an object Enter OR spacebar
Multi-select objects Ctrl+spacebar




SHORTCUTS ON VISUAL


To do this action Press
Move focus to visual menu Alt+Shift+F10
Show data Alt+Shift+F11
Enter a visual Ctrl+
Enter a layer Enter
Exit a layer or visual Esc
Select or clear selection of a data point Enter+spacebar
Multi-select Ctrl+Enter OR Ctrl+spacebar
Clear selection Ctrl+Shift+C
Show or hide tooltip Ctrl+H
Right-click Context Key+F10

Note:

In Windows keyboard: The Windows context key is between the Left Alt key and the Left Arrow Key.
In Other keyboardShift + F10
