2. Click on the Profile Icon at the bottom left corner and then click on the Custom Instructions Option as shown in the below screen:

3. Following pop-up or window shall get opened where you will be able write your instructions:

 

4. In the First Box: "What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses?"

You can mention or provide details like:

• Where are you based?
• What do you do for work?
• What are your hobbies and interests?
• What subjects can you talk about for hours?
• What are some goals you have?

5.  In the Second Box: "How would you like ChatGPT to respond?"

You can mention or provide details like:

• How formal or casual should ChatGPT be?
• How long or short should responses generally be?
• How do you want to be addressed?
• Should ChatGPT have opinions on topics or remain neutral?

6. And at the last enable the toggle button to take the effect of the entered custom instructions for the new chats and then click on Save button available at the bottom of the same custom instruction pop-up window as shown in the below screenshot.

You can also Add Custom Instructions in your chat as well: Place your custom instructions within square brackets "[ ]" anywhere within your message. For instance:

• [In a formal tone] Explain the theory of relativity.
• [Provide a concise summary] Tell me about the latest scientific discoveries.

Be Specific: The clearer and more specific your instructions, the better ChatGPT can assist you. You can specify the style, depth, or context of the response.

Continue the Conversation: After inserting your custom instructions, continue the conversation naturally. ChatGPT will consider your guidance when generating responses.
